ACHIEVE HEALTHY, YOUNGER-LOOKING SKIN WITH MICRONEEDLING
Are you looking to improve the texture and firmness of your skin? Could you benefit from a reduction in facial scars and pore size? It may be time for you to consider a microneedling treatment to hydrate and rejuvenate your skin.
Human skin is susceptible to many forms of damage due to harsh weather, the sun, and bad habits. As we age, we become more likely to develop fine lines, wrinkles, and rougher skin. Despite our inability to turn back the hands of time, we do have options available to help dramatically slow down the effects of aging and improve our skin.
What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that targets and improves skin concerns. In addition, microneedling encourages your skin to form new, healthy collagen and create firmer skin.
If you have additional areas that you are seeking to improve, take a look at some of the other benefits of microneedling:
- Reducing the appearance of aging
- Targeting wrinkles and fine lines
- Treating trauma scars and sluggish skin
- Minimizing acne scars
Microneedling is mainly used to address skin concerns on your face. However, if you’re looking to improve other areas of your body, microdermabrasion is another minimally invasive treatment that you can use. In addition to your face, microdermabrasion can also rejuvenate your arms, chest, and hands.

Is Microneedling Painful?
Short answer: No. But like most treatments, it is possible that you may feel some slight discomfort.
In general, a pen-like tool is used to make micro channels in the top layer of the skin. This device is moved quickly across your skin, so treatments typically take only 10 to 15 minutes, and there is almost no downtime after the treatment. If needed, a topical numbing cream may be placed on the skin before getting started.
How Will My Skin Feel After Treatment?
There are two types of treatment levels for microneedling that can determine how it feels afterward:
- The light-level treatment uses a shorter needle to penetrate the skin. Your skin may feel warm and sensitive, and your skin may be red for a day or two afterward.
- The aggressive-level treatment uses a longer needle, allowing for deeper penetration that creates a collagen response and aids in reducing acne scars. As a result, you may experience some swelling and minimal bleeding.
How Many Treatments Are Needed to Improve My Skin?
In most cases, you can expect visible results after the first treatment. With repeat visits, significant results occur after five to seven treatments. Because microneedling is not an overly aggressive treatment, you will likely need repeat visits over a two- to three-month period.
Is Microneedling Right For You?
If you are considering a microneedling treatment or even want to explore other options, make sure you speak with a professional. Take the first steps to gain healthy, younger-looking skin.
